Summer Reading Registration

We're so excited for you to join us for the Summer Reading Program this year!

To sign up, fill out the registration form below, review the program instructions, and download your reading log. Then start reading!

Step 2: Download Your Reading Log

You can either pick up your reading log at the library or print it out yourself at home! Click "Download" below, and the log will open in a new window. Then, click the print icon in the upper right corner.

Instructions:

1. READ for 20 minutes each day.

2. TRACK the time you spend reading with your log, which you can download above or pick up at the library! For every 20 minutes of reading you complete, mark off a white dot. Begin at the dot marked "Start." Remember, even if you sign up late or miss a day - you can always make up a week or two by doing some extra reading!

3. MILESTONES are the outlined ovals on your log. When you reach one and complete that day's reading, visit the Milestone page to enter your progress. New Milestones open every Wednesday starting May 29. After entering a Milestone online, children and teens can come to the library and claim that prize to celebrate that they've read 140 minutes! NEW Adults can collect guaranteed prizes at Milestones 1, 4, and 8! For Milestones 2, 3, 5, and 7, adults who submit their Milestones on time are automatically entered into a weekly prize drawing. 4. ENTER TO WIN GRAND PRIZES by completing the final Milestone (#8). When you log Milestone 8 online, you'll get to select the prize drawing you want to enter. Finishing the Summer Reading Program means you've read 1,120 minutes (or 18.5 hours) and contributed to our Community Reading Goal. View Prizes

Finish your required summer reading early? Don't stop! This year, you can log "Bonus Reading". Track your extra reading and log it on the Milestone page beginning July 18 to help us reach our Community Reading Goal of 1.5 million minutes.

Library Director Andrew Harant and children's manager Miss Amy will have to hold a surprise reptile whenRealm of the Reptile visits on Monday, August 5 from 6 - 7 p.m.Kids and teens who read the most total minutes this summer will be named our Top Readers and will receive the option to hold a reptile, too! Mark your calendars - you won't want to miss this!
