MEET NICI FROM HARVEST YOGA + WELLNESS

Founder and owner of HARVEST Yoga + Wellness, Nici Munyer started doing yoga in 2016 as a part of her personal wellness journey. Feeling burnt out in her previous career, she questioned herself and thought deeply about what mattered most to her. She realized, "In our fast-paced society, we're often on autopilot. I wanted to start living with my goals and core values in alignment."

She quit her position and continued asking these soul-searching questions, engaging in self-care, and learning to set better boundaries. Nici read books, continued her yoga practice, and became a 200 hr Certified Yoga Teacher and Yoga to Life Coach Certified.

THE BEGINNING

Nici knew there had to be others in her community who felt the same way - burnt out and looking for ways to live more authentically. She put out feelers in the community and began a pop-up yoga class inside a local boutique in 2019. The classes were a hit, and Nici realized she needed her own space to continue yoga with room to expand.

Six months later, she found out the owner of Urban Lace (the boutique she'd been hosting pop-up classes in) was moving locations to open a new shop on Front Street. Nici jumped at the opportunity and rented the space on Portage Trail that would become HARVEST Yoga + Wellness.

The new studio came together very quickly! "April 1, I received the keys, and on May 4, we opened the doors. A big part of why it came together so quickly is I wasn't afraid to put myself out there and look for collaborators in the community."

WHAT TO EXPECT AT HARVEST YOGA + WELLNESS

The HARVEST Mission is "to serve as a space for cultivating a deeper connection to yourself and others through daily yoga classes in a variety of styles, along with monthly workshops and social gatherings."

Nici seeks to do more than yoga with HARVEST. Her passion helping people seek holistic wellness. The studio facilitates workshops and even a free Book Club Circle. The Book Club Circle offers space to come and discuss literature and life, which promotes mental and emotional wellness by providing women an opportunity to connect. Nici's goal is to make this group as welcoming as possible. (You don't even need to commit to reading the entire book!)

Additionally, HARVEST offers other spaces to gather, seek, and connect through quarterly dinners with The Harvest Table, free Yoga in the Park: Summer Spree events (a collaboration with the City of CF Parks & Rec), and the first ever Cuyahoga Falls WELLfest on May 14, 2022.

WELLFEST

In celebration of HARVEST's third birthday, the studio has partnered with the City of Cuyahoga Falls and One T Entertainment for WELLfest, a new event celebrating healthy living. This free, one-day outdoor community wellness festival incorporates fitness, education, healthy eating, and shopping.

WELLfest will be held rain or shine in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
