What is SearchOhio? If you don’t see the book you want on our shelves, you can request it from another public library with SearchOhio for pickup here at Cuyahoga Falls Library.
Get started with SearchOhio button at the top of our catalog. All you need is your library card number and 4-digit PIN. (Not sure of your PIN? Contact us, and we can reset it for you.)

Planned temporary shutdown of OhioLINK and SearchOhio inter-library loans

OhioLINK and SearchOhio, the two services Cuyahoga Falls Library uses to provide our patrons with books and materials from across the state, are planning technology upgrades that will result in a temporary service shutdown. These new developments will integrate their platforms to create a new, simplified search experience for inter-library loans.
Please note the following dates, so you can order any materials you need before the service pause.
The temporary shutdown will affect all Ohio libraries. During this time, customers can return items and pay fines/fees as usual.
SearchOhio Timeline:

- Beginning August 1 through October 26, SearchOhio collections will not be available to Cuyahoga Falls Library customers.
- July 31 is the last day to request items through SearchOhio.
- If you wish to order books from other libraries via SearchOhio, we suggest placing your hold well before the Aug. 1 deadline. Libraries will honor and ship as many requests as possible made before Aug. 1.
- Holds cannot be placed through SearchOhio August 1 through October 26.
OhioLINK Timeline:

- Beginning May 23 through October 26, OhioLINK will not be available for use.
- Holds cannot be placed through OhioLINK on May 23 through October 26.
All OhioLINK and SearchOhio services are scheduled to return by 8 a.m. on October 27.
Cuyahoga Falls Library will update our patrons in person and through our website, email, and social media posts as we receive information from SearchOhio and OhioLINK. In the meantime, the Cuyahoga Falls Library's physical and digital materials are always searchable on our online catalog: discover.fallslibrary.org
How to Borrow Books Not Held by Cuyahoga Falls Library
During the outage, Cuyahoga Falls Library staff is happy to accept purchase suggestions.
We are also able to help you locate materials at other local libraries. However, we will be unable to have items sent to our location for pick-up. You will need to visit the library that owns the material and use a library card valid at that location.
